Investing in the Next Generation of Technicians and Dreamers

At Keller Kustoms Auto Body & Paint, community is at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud to support programs that build skills, confidence, and opportunities for young people right here in Milwaukee.

BUILD Moto Mentor Program

This year, we had the privilege of sponsoring a team of students from City on a Hill, a local nonprofit committed to transforming urban youth and communities. The students participated in the BUILD Moto Mentor Program, a hands-on initiative that teaches teens technical skills through motorcycle fabrication and design. The program is proudly supported by Harley-Davidson and other major sponsors throughout the city.

Through BUILD, students learn

  • Welding, fabrication, and mechanical repair
  • CAD and design
  • Machining and painting
  • Media production and presentation
  • Most importantly: teamwork, leadership, and communication

Harley-Davidson donates the motorcycles used in the builds, and students work together over the course of months to prepare their bikes for a series of competitions.

Keller Kustoms' Role

Our sponsorship went beyond writing a check. We opened our shop to the team and invited them to collaborate with us on painting their bike parts. Our technicians guided the students through the painting process, offering a real-world glimpse into the craftsmanship and detail that goes into professional auto body work.

The experience was just as rewarding for us as it was for them.

“WHAT AN AMAZING PAINT JOB! Your craftsmanship was unmatched, but it was your generosity, encouragement, and presence that truly made the experience unforgettable… You helped shift perspectives, expand imaginations, and show our kids what community really looks like.”

— City on a Hill Program Lead

A Season of Success

The students’ hard work paid off in a big way:

  • 1st place in 2 out of 4 competitions
  • JJ Flairty, Wisconsin’s own, rode the team’s bike in the racing event — and took 1st place
  • Over $4,500 raised at the final showcase event, helping BUILD surpass $64,000 raised in its nine years

We were honored to be a part of their journey and incredibly proud of what they achieved.

“What you gave our students this season went far beyond the paint job... Your team became a part of the story our students will carry for years to come.”

Looking Ahead

This was our first time sponsoring a BUILD Moto team — and it won’t be our last. We’re already exploring ways to grow our partnership with City on a Hill and continue empowering Milwaukee’s youth through hands-on learning, mentorship, and community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible.
